Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant (4 km)

Dukovany Power Plant Information Centre is open daily 9:00-16:00 (9:00-17:00 during the summer holidays). Tours of the power plant need to be booked in advance!

Mohelno Serpentinite Steppe (8 km)

The Mohelno Serpentinite Steppe National Nature Reserve offers an educational trail. The trail begins and ends in the car park west of Mohelno, where one can buy a printed guide. At the very beginning of the trail, there is an Iron Age tumulus.

Babylon Observation Tower (10 km)

Babylon Observation Tower, which is located at the foot of Zelený vrch (491 m) near Kramolín, is one of the oldest observation towers in Moravia. The empire-style observation tower was constructed in stone for the purpose of geodesy in 1831 by Count Jindřich Vilém Haugwitz, owner of Náměšť manor. The observation tower itself is 24,5 m tall, while the observation deck is located at a height of 18 m, and can be accessed via a staircase with 112 steps.  

Dalešice dam (12 km)

Dalešice Dam is a hydroelectric dam on the Jihlava river southeast of Třebíč. It was built between 1970 and 1978 and it comprises the Mohelno Dam. Apart from fishing and various kinds of sports activities, the dam also offers boat tours.

Dalešice Brewery (13 km)

The brewery, which was chosen by Jiří Menzel as a filming location for Postřižiny, and still produces beer today, houses the Musem of Austria-Hungarian Brewery Industry.

Templštejn Castle (14 km)

The romantic ruins of the castle, which was founded by the Knights Templar in the 13th century, are freely accessible to visitors.
